INTRODUCTION

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine was formed in 1977 with the establishment of the University of the Central Highlands. From 1977 to 2007, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine lived in the same Faculty of Agriculture, later renamed the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry.

Date of establishment: On January 18, 2007, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine was officially established under Decision No. 61/QD-TCCB of the Rector of Tay Nguyen University.

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

1. Functions

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine is tasked with the comprehensive education and training of individuals in the fields of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine across a spectrum of academic degrees. They include the delivery of programs at the College and University levels for Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine and providing advanced studies culminating in Master's degrees in each discipline. Their curriculum is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their respective areas at varying tiers of higher education.

The Faculty not only undertakes the education and training of students, but it also plays a pivotal role in conducting scientific studies and disseminating innovative technological developments within animal husbandry and veterinary science disciplines.

2. Duties

Training: The Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine is responsible for training students in the fields of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine to meet the needs of production, research, and socio-economic development of the Central Highlands provinces nationwide.

Scientific research: the Faculty of Technology has been implementing scientific research projects at ministerial, provincial, and grassroots levels, as well as projects related to the needs of production, transfer, livestock development, animal health protection, and in-depth scientific research topics.

 Transfer of scientific progress: The Faculty has also been implementing advances in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine to localities in the Central Highlands through domestic and international projects.
